Shut In
Lyrics by Kim Honeyford.

I'm lonely and listless tossing and turning comforted only by my duvet I'm life-worn and loveless sitting and starring shut in a day after long painful day I'm used up and useless aching and asking will this emptiness, please, go away? I'm forlorn and forgotten waiting wondering will my life change if I learn to pray? I know there's a future but life takes such effort I don't have much reason to stay I'm aging and ageless as time slowly passes - I tur-ur-urn twenty four today... The story : I met Kim in Hub Mall (in one of those Evenings of Songs that I was organizing then there every second Wed night).
She came with her poetry. I really liked the lyrics (honestly, I was amazed how talentedly it was written - I could never write like that)
and could relate to this particular lyrics so well - I was just 2 years older and living all by myself
The beat sound on the background (in compound meter) immitates my heart beat.
Song came easy and fast, once I put all its lyrics through my soul.
