My Heart

Lyrics and music by Dmitry Gorodnichy (© 1997)

Recording (one-track acoustic)

v1: One day you`ll find you life is over With every little thing and you'll be gone And then you tell yourself "No it can't be over!" And then you tell yourself again "Not it is not done!" Refrain My heart is strong enough I can do anything I can go anywhere And I can dance and sing And never mind that it's a little hard this time I know I can do that and I will be just fine I must be just tired just tired, just tired, I'm. I must be just tired just tired, just tired, I'm... v2: My friends told me I look much older now Than I did a year ago But I stepped outside and then I found that air is as fresh as it was before! The sky is blue again Birds singly lo-ve-ly And everything is the same Everything but not me! Refrain. Edmonton, 1999 (except the lyrics of verse 2, which was written one nice morning in May 1997 when I went outside from home */

The story

Long ago (when I was 16), some doctors in Amosov heart institute recommended me planting a pace-maker...

I'm still the fastest on the soccer field. But it's not as simple having a very overtrained heart.

So this is very personal song, and it also explains why name for the entire album -

you feel how beautiful the life is when you know how short it is...
